earth stones are a species i came up with and which is still in developement.

They have water and dirt resistant fur. The crystals which are growing out of their bodies are parts of their bones. The crystal tips dont have a nerve system so they wont feel any pain if the crystals break.

Why do they have this crystal attached to their bones?
These minerals resamble the minerals of our Earth but these can glow in dark places.

IMPORTANT FACT
there can never co-exist the same crystal type in a lifetime.
e.g.: 1 Malachite Earth Stone can live up to 7 years after the next malachite can get born.

Habitat: Earth stones live on a small planet, named Vertigo. The creatures live their whole lifetime beneath earth in caves which are natural illuminated through luminecent minerals, flora and fauna.

Nutrition: fruits, fish, insects, small birds and their eggs and minerals.

Size: 37 - 40cm
Life span: 5 - 7 years
Predator:Crystal Smasher: Big snake like creature who's nutrition consists meat and minerals. They can reach a size of 2 - 3m.

Earth stones hatch out of eggs.
